Experiential Conference: From Inspiration to Innovations

We were involved in the preparations for an experiential conference, where we were in charge of the spatial experiential part of it and for one of its nodes. The aim of the conference was to develop non-technological innovations for conference activities: to make a conference fun and experiential, where all participants are actively involved. Through 12 techniques, the participants experienced the whole innovation process. The background of the conference was a business game based on the story of Robin Hood, which was adapted to the jargon and challenges of the business world. The activities also served as a demonstration of the gamification/playification method with several twists in the plot, carefully selected additional information, misleading information, etc., which was used to simulate everyday market conditions in which innovations are developed.
The conference was held by Vibacom, InCo Movement, Managers’ Association of Slovenia, Slovenian Association of Facilitators, Center arhitekture Slovenije, expert groups, and individual experts. It was shortlisted for innovations at the 9th Slovenian Innovation Forum in Cankarjev dom.
