The products were designed by young Slovenian designers from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana, inspired by the motifs of one of the most famous façades of Ljubljana houses, decorations of the interiors of Saint Catherine’s Church at Topol pri Medvode, and the painted altar table in the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Vrata. Companies Svilanit, Luci, Emma, Tiskarna in knjigoveznica Radovljica and ZkotZ allowed for high-quality execution of the series. Let this gift inspire you! This is a collection of silver jewellery – a ring, earrings, a necklace with a pendant, cufflinks – featuring a mix of folk and geometric motifs characteristic of Vurnik’s style. The ornament of the Sun, brought to life by the precious materials used in in this collection, is found on the columns of Sokolski dom (Sokol Hall) at Tabor in Ljubljana, built between 1923 and 1926. The Sun is a symbol of light, power, energy, and everything connected with life. The jewellery was designed and made by the jewellery designer Aleš Hočevar.
